Times Tables Rock Stars- To give the children a fun and engaging way to practice, the school has signed up to Times Table Rock Stars. All the children in Year 2 (and Year 3&4) have accounts and they can log in and play wither through the website or via the free app. They can play on their own of even challenge others. They earn coins for correct answers which can be spent on a range of items for their TT Rock Star Character.- www.ttrockstars.com
Scratch- Scratch is a free programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games and animations. (Introduced in Y2 and then used in Y3 and Y4) www.scratch.mit.edu/
Hit the button- This is an interactive maths game with quick fire questions on number bonds, times tables, doubling and halving, multiples, division facts and square numbers. Designed for 6-11 year old’s, the activities can be matched to mathematical ability. www.topmarks.co.uk
Oxford owl- eBooks- This is a fantastic website with a free library of over 200 eBooks. The eBooks are now “tablet friendly” so they should work on most tablets. The majority of the eBooks have readings recorded so that children can have the stories read to them. www.oxfordowl.co.uk
